The Nutter Family Foundation
Grant Application Process & Grant Guidelines

Please thoroughly read the Nutter Foundation guidelines before proceeding with a grant application.

About the Foundation: The Nutter Family Foundation is a private foundation established in 2006 to make grants to local 501(c)(3) organizations directly benefitting children in the SW Washington/Portland Metro Area only. The Foundation is governed by a board of directors which make the final decision on all grants and expenditures made by the Foundation.

The mission of the Foundation is to improve the quality of life to the children in our community through support of innovative projects and successful ongoing programs with a particular interest in programs that focus on community service, sports, social interaction and the arts.

The Foundation accepts grants from March 1st through June 15th of each year. Grants may be made in the following forms as appropriate for the proposed project and project timeline: (Please be specific about the form of grant you are requesting)

• One-time grants, which are single-year grants for a specific purpose
• Multi-year grants, which are commitments for funding to be paid in
   increments over a period no longer than three years;
• Start-up program grants
• Challenge or matching grants.

Grants That Will Not Be Considered: The Foundation will not make the types of grants listed below. Any request for funding of these purposes will be denied and frowned upon:

• Grants to organizations outside Southwest Washington/Portland,
   OR metro area
• Grants to individuals for any purpose

• Grants for purposes outside of the foundation's funding
   priorities as listed in the prior section.
